Refund policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026
The short version
We want you to like the bars. Because they are food, we cannot take them back once they have left us and we would only have to throw them away. So instead of returns, we fix problems: if your order arrives damaged, wrong, or not at all, we refund or replace it in full. You keep whatever arrived.
We refund or replace, no argument, when
-
Your order arrived damaged, crushed, or melted out of shape.
-
You got the wrong flavor, or the wrong number of bars.
-
Your order never arrived, and tracking has not moved for 10 days.
-
The bars were past their best-by date when they reached you.
How to tell us
Email hello@firstthingbars.com within 30 days of your delivery date. Include your order number, and a photo if something arrived damaged. The photo is genuinely useful: it tells us whether the damage happened in our packing or in transit, which is how we stop it happening to the next person. We will come back to you within 2 business days.
What we cannot refund
-
Bars you have eaten or opened, unless something was wrong with them.
-
A change of mind about a flavor once you have tried it.
-
Problems reported more than 30 days after delivery.
How the money comes back
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Once we approve one it usually appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. There is no restocking fee, and we will never ask you to post food back to us.
The Weekday box
If you set your Weekday box to arrive every month, cancel any time before your next billing date and you will not be charged again. A one-time box is charged once and nothing recurs. Either way, if a box arrives damaged or never turns up, it is covered by everything above, exactly like any other order.
Allergies
Strawberry Parfait contains milk and almond. Banana Nut contains milk, almond and walnut. Please read the label before you order if you have an allergy. We cannot refund an order because of an ingredient listed on the package, but if anything on the label is unclear, tell us and we will fix the wording.
